Renovation Underway
This weekend is teachers convention and Family day, and instead of escaping the snow and going somewhere Mike and I decided to stay home and renovate my workshop!
The laminate floor has been sitting in our downstairs bathroom for close to 2 years now so I'm really looking forward to getting rid of the gold carpet.
We are planning on reorganizing the shelving that I currently have to give me more horizontal space for my cricut and other tools along with shallow shelving on the back wall to display albums, paper and other products. I also found that I can use the same shelving on the bulkhead for more display shelves. I'm going to put more shelving on the side wall to extend all the way to the end of the wall, clean up underneath the stairs and put up a curtain there to hide our luggage, golf clubs etc. Also going to put casing around the door, that was my Christmas gift a couple years ago. Then we are going to put in some more lighting under the bulkhead and a couple of table lamps to brighten up the room.
So I have most of my stuff out of my workshop already - it's currently in the spare room downstairs, but I have a workshop going on tomorrow so I have to keep the table and shelving in there till after that.
I'm going to go to take some "before" pictures today and will post later, once the room is completed I'll post the "after" pictures as well. I'm looking forward to having my grand reopening in March!
And here are the pictures, got to love the gold carpet, my stripper pole (telepost) in the corner, it's all going to be gone. I also wanted to show you what my girls were up to when I was moving stuff out, I have shelf boards under my table for extra storage, they thought it would be a perfect place to have a sleep over since all the boxes were moved out. Morgan (2 1/2) is in red and Sydney (6) is in purple, they had a good time pretending and I love that picture.
